Family and Consumer Sciences

{Family and Consumer Sciences} The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) program focuses on the development of management skills needed throughout the life span.  The program is committed to a unique focus between work and family, empowering students to fulfill individual, family, community, and work role to achieve balance in the interaction among these roles in a diverse global society.
 
Middle school, high school and adult education courses are offered. The program brochure offers details about the program and a schedule planner for students.
 
Details about the program at each middle and high school are found at individual school FACS sites.
 
FACS students have leadership opportunities through the Virginia FCCLA Association, a state affiliate of the national organization of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc.
 
Volunteers are needed to servie on the Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Committee.
