The REEP Family Literacy Curriculum is a component of the REEP ESL Curriculum for Adults. It is designed to be used either:
The REEP Family Literacy Curriculum consists of three levels of instruction, which correspond to the REEP Instructional levels as follows:
Each level of the curriculum consists of 4 topic areas:
"Needs Assessment in Family Literacy Classes" provides suggestions for assessing the learning needs of parents. Links from the site map for the REEP Instructional System provide guidance for Instructional Planning, Learner Assessment, Integration of Reading and Writing, Grammar Integration, and Technology Integration. For use as a stand alone curriculum, it is recommended that appropriate objectives from the Getting Started Units be integrated into the Personal Identification Units.
