    HEALTH UNIT GOAL
    After completing the unit lifeskills objectives, students will demonstrate their ability to access and navigate an aspect of the health care system using level appropriate language skills. 

    HEALTH LIFESKILLS PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES (Summary): 
    1. Make a doctor's appointment and describe symptoms/illnesses. 
    2. Describe injury and give advice. 
    3. Describe home remedies, alternative care, and preventative care. 
    4. Describe healthy habits. 
    5. Fill out simplified medical  forms. 
    6. Read and explain medicine labels. 
    7. Given a visit to a pharmacy, ask for advice and clarification about treatments, prescriptions, and non-prescription medicine.
