What does REEP do?
REEP provides language and lifeskills instruction that prepares adults to use English in their roles as parents, workers, and community members. REEP is a recognized leader in Adult ESL, known for its work in Family Literacy, curriculum development, and writing assessment.
REEP is a grant-funded program within the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. Primary funding comes from Arlington County Government supplemented by state, federal, private, and foundation funding. Our mission is to provide for the education and employment-related needs of adult English language learners who live and work in Arlington, Virginia. Our philosophy embraces the adult learner as a stakeholder in the education process. We believe that our learners should have a voice in the instruction that they receive. This voice enables us to serve individuals better and to respond to the diverse and changing needs of our population.
