Yorktown High School Phase I construction activities are progressing on schedule and are expected to be ready to welcome students in September 2010.

In the cafeteria, finish painting is ongoing along with installation of cloud ceiling and casework. Finish painting and mechanical, plumbing and electrical finishes are almost complete in the administration wing. The final inspections of those areas are ongoing. In the art wing, final painting and initial cleaning has begun. Ceiling and wall panel installation is continuing in the auditorium. Stage lighting and rigging work has started. In the science wing, casework installation along with corridor floor tile and mechanical, electrical and plumbing finishes commenced. Grading for bus loop is finished and the area is currently being prepped for landscaping. Dumpster pad and storage shed installation is complete. Interior modifications in preparation of Phase II construction are underway.
