Instructional & Innovative Technologies

The mission of the Office of Instructional & Innovative Technologies is to provide resources and services that support teaching and learning with technology including the integration of computer hardware/software, peripheral devices, web-based content, video, distance learning technologies, instructional materials development, video and multimedia production.

Instructional & Innovative Technologies consists of staff that supports Arlington Educational Television (AETV), instructional technologies and the integraton into the classroom, technology professional develoment, award-winning video production, an extensive distance learning program, support for video integration and materials production.

Instructional Technology in Arlington is coordinated through school-based Instructional Technology Coordinators (ITC). ITC provide leadership, training and support to instructional staff with the integration of computer, video, information and communication technologies.

Instructional & Innovative Technologies provides a communication link to the Arlington community through an electronic bulletin board, cable programming, streaming video, and informational video programs.
