FOOTBALL (Boys)
Yorktown has Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman football teams. Practice begins three weeks before school starts, and is held twice daily. After school begins, practice is held Monday through Thursday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Eighth graders may try out for the Freshman team. There is a uniform fee, which covers two team jerseys. Players provide their own shoes. Yorktown provides pads, helmet and pants at no charge. The Football Boosters organize support of the football teams, by parents and other interested persons.
