LACROSSE (Boys)
Often called the "fastest game on two feet," lacrosse is a sport involving great skill, foot and hand speed, stamina, and physical body contact. Created by the Native American Indians, it is the oldest known team sport played in North America.
The lacrosse season runs from late February through mid-May. Players are responsible for their own shoes (cleats) and lacrosse stick. A limited number of sticks are available for beginning players.
Positions include:
- Attack (Offense) - 3 fielded players during a game
- Midfield (Offense and Defense) - 3 fielded players during game
- Defense - 3 fielded players during game

As lacrosse involves a significant amount of running, any student interested in playing lacrosse should be in good physical condition before attending the first practice.
