2012 Campbell Elementary School Geography Bee
Campbell School and the National Geographic Society presented this year's Geography Bee. Four 5th graders and six 4th graders participated in the competition. Congratulations to Sean H. (1st Place) and Zackary P. (2nd Place). Congratulations to all the participants!

Our current endeavor is to expand our inquiry-based approach to education by converting a wet and swampy area of our playground into a Wetlands Learning Lab.
 
 

Noteworthy News About Campbell

2011 Board of Education Competence to Excellence Award Recipient Campbell has met all state and federal accountability benchmarks for at least two consecutive years and has made significant progress toward goals for increased student achievement and expanded educational opportunities set by the Virginia Board of Education.

The board also recognized 103 schools as "Title I Distinguished Schools" for maintaining full state accreditation under the commonwealth's Standards of Learning program for two consecutive years, meeting federal benchmarks in reading and mathematics and having average test scores in both subjects at the 60th percentile or higher.  Read more
