Wakefield High School is will be conducting the Tech Expo this Saturday, April 30, 2016, 8:30-1pm. Competition is open to all students in business and information technology, computer science, engineering design, computer graphics, desktop publishing, video production, robotics, computer networking, engineering, cyber security or other approved technical categories. The Tech Expo is this Saturday, April 30th. All are welcome!
The show starts at 7 PM, on the 29th and 30th, tickets are only $10. The show features set design by Jackson Hambridge, Makeup Design by Jordyn Harris, Lighting Design by Evan Voldal, costume design by Science Teacher Michelle Harris as well as hilarious students in the cast. Don't miss it!

Sponsored by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the BizFest Youth Entrepreneurship Program is an innovative program that empowers youth with knowledge and insight into the world of business. Tasnim Alam's idea and business plan, which was presented to a panel of judges won first place in the competition!
The student and their work are: Eyerusalem Meaza- Gold Medal, Photography "The Long Wait"; Jack Karton-Silver Medal, Illustration "Touchdown"; Karolina Lajch-Silver Medal, Photography "Mask"; Francesca Salas-,Silver Medal, Photography "How do you define Rich and Famous?"; Madelyn Wood-Silver Medal, Photography "No Dreams Tonight". These students have been identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists and writers in the nation. This year, nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level. These students have been invited to attend a ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 2.
Wakefield student wins American Visions Award! A BIG congratulations goes out to Margot Dunn's art student, Elma Shishir, who's illustration,"Wrecking Ball Wreckage" was chosen as one of the five American Visions Awards in the 2016 Scholastic Arts Competition. The American Visions distinction is awarded to pieces of art that are considered the Best in Show! Please congratulate this talented sophomore when you see her!
