Dear Warrior Nation:
National Letter of Intent Day is taking place today across the country. Wakefield is very proud to have four athletes thus far sign with various universities to attend academically and accept an athletic scholarship/agreement as well.
Congratulations to the following four athletes and Wakefield is proud of their accomplishments on and off the field!

CONGRATULATIONS! French teacher Katy Wheelock is delighted to announce that three Wakefield students will represent the school in the Concours for Creative Writing sponsored by the Société Honoraire de Français (National French Honor Society). Students were asked to answer a prompt in 250 words or less in French, describing how learning French inspires them, and what role the French language plays in their lives and in their futures. French IV students Bree Hensley (10th grade) and Areli Ibarra-Ruiz (10th grade) created original poetry, while AP French student Nikhil Gukhool (9th grade) wrote an essay reflecting on his francophone heritage from Mauritius. We wish them the best of luck in the national competition.
