The Wakefield Boosters is made up of any parents who want to help raise funds support student extra-curricular activities and build school spirit. We raise money to support Athletics, Technology Fair, Student Government Association, fine arts and extra-curricular student interest groups and clubs, as well as helping support teachers through grants.
Boosters organize the staffing of all concession stands at home football and basketball games, which can be sponsored by a student team or group as a fundraising option for the group. When your child’s group is working the concession stand, please volunteer your time. They need parents and students to make the concession stand a success!
Boosters also sells spirit wear to students, staff, parents and all others happy to promote the Wakefield Warriors. We set up at most major events at Wakefield (including Back to School Night) and at most home football and basketball games. Occasionally we also set up sales during lunch periods. These sales will be advertised through the PTA/Booster listserve. If you would like to join the Yahoo Groups listserve, email Wakefield_Booster_PTAemail@example.com to request to join. In the body of your email, share with us your connection to Wakefield. This same listserve is used for communications with both Boosters and PTA.
Anytime you want to get involved in Boosters, feel free to contact any of the leadership below. We will be present at Back to School Night on September 23 in Town Hall. Look for the spirit wear! We collect dues that are only $5 per person or $10 per household and use those funds and the profits from all our fundraising to help students. Or come to our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. in A-134. We have a variety of tasks that are looking for people! GO WARRIORS!!
