The Career Center’s Commercial Art Program helps students improve their communication skills through the use of art and design. We offer classes in traditional media (Commercial Art I), computer graphics focusing on print media (Commercial Art II), and computer graphics for electronic display (Computer Graphics for the Web). Students completing this two-year Program can receive / qualify for:
- SKILLS-- The Commerical Art program uses custom competency lists developed by the program's instructors, and tracked by the Career Center's own CanDo Competency Tracking System.
- CREDIT-- students can receive college credit for their work in the Commercial Art program at both Northern Virginia Community College and The Art Institutes.
- EXPERIENCE-- Commerical Arts students participate in the Career Center's Internship and PRIME programs; students also show off their work through online Digital Portfolios.
