APS Music Students Honored

The Virginia Music Educators Association recognized 13 APS music students in jazz, choir and orchestra.

Virginia Jazz Ensemble (State Level)

Washington-Lee: Thomas Faris, Alto Sax
Yorktown: Caleb Rakestraw-Morn, Trumpet

Senior Honors Choir (State Level)

H-B Woodlawn: Ned Sieverts, Tenor 2 and Eren Guendelsberger, Bass 1
Wakefield High School: Shelton Siegel, Tenor 2

Senior Regional Orchestra

Yorktown: Caleb Rakestraw-Morn, Trumpet and Casey Lim, 1st Violin
H-B Woodlawn: Julian Cohen, French Horn and Olivia Taylor, Violin
Wakefield: Sam Matzner, Principal Viola and Mark Schreiber, String Bass
Washington-Lee: Nathan Ullberg, 1st Violin and Chris Leo, Violin 2nd alternate
