Upcoming ‘More Seats for More Students’ Boundary Meeting Schedule
The APS “More Seats for More Students” boundary planning process is currently underway to determine a neighborhood boundary for the new elementary school on the Williamsburg Middle School site.
The School Board has identified the following seven neighborhood school communities to directly engage in this process: Ashlawn, Glebe, Jamestown, McKinley, Nottingham, Taylor, and Tuckahoe.
APS will host
a series of neighborhood meetings and community gatherings at these school locations and other sites in December and January to share information, gather input and help develop options. Additional meetings will be held in January and February to provide updates, obtain feedback and refine options.
In late February and March, a final set of meetings will take place to share recommendations for boundaries and the rationale for these recommendations. The Superintendent will present his recommendations to the School Board in March.
