Auto Tech II (28507) Full year, 2 periods, 2 credits Grades 10 - 12 Prerequisite: Automotive Technology I or permission of the instructor (see below)
The curriculum for Automotive Technology II involves "real world training" in an on-the-job type facility. Training in the most up-to-date technologies enables a student to gain experience in this exciting and fast growing industry. Use of modern specialized equipment with emphasis on "hands-on" training makes this course beneficial to future technicians, as well as automobile owners. Shop time available to work on your own vehicle. Earn college credit while attending this course through NOVA Dual Enrollment. Credits available are SDV 100 College Success Skills (1 credit), AUT 100 Introduction to Automotive Shop Practices (2 credits), and AUT 265 Braking systems (4 credits). This course is a prerequisite for Automotive Technology III.
