DESCRIPTION: This program is designed for students interested in becoming licensed Cosmetologist. In Cosmetology II, students will be focusing on the chemistry of hair, working with clients, and designing SPA DAY'S of full services. They will learn permanent waving, hair lightning/coloring, relaxers, advanced nail techniques and the business of cosmetology . Students will design their future salon and build portfolios as references for job interviews. Instruction is designed to qualify students for the licensing examination. In order to meet licensing requirements, students must complete Cosmetology I and II to be eligible for the Virginia State Board Exam. Students will wear their uniforms and a pair of clinical shoes from the previous year. Replacements of tools and manikins if needed are ordered by the school for students to purchase at a cost of approximately $120.00.
