Senior Information


Wakefield High School Class of 2016

Prepare To Graduate!
 
Senior Class Dues
This year, Senior Class dues are $80 until January 2016 when the cost increases to $100. Dues can be paid by check or money order (made out to Wakefield High School) or by cash and turned in to Ms. Moton in Room A 139.  Senior Class dues cover the cost of your cap and gown, senior picnic, graduation, and other Senior Class activities.  Dues must be paid to participate in senior activities.
 
 
Prom
Prom is will on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 8:00 PM to 12:00AM. The venue will be announced at a later date.
 
 Senior Picnic
 The Senior Class Picnic will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 12:30 until 3:00.  The Senior Class will provide food and drinks.  There will be music and games (see a senior class officer if you have ideas and/or equipment).
 
Fees for Lost and/or Damaged Items
 You must return all school materials in good condition (this includes textbooks, calculators, team uniforms, etc).  You will be charged for any item not returned or retuned in poor condition.  These charges, and any other school-related charges (for example, transcript fees) must be paid for prior to receiving your cap and gown.  We will pull your cap and gown and hold them until all fees and charges have been paid.
 
Graduation Rehearsal
Graduation rehearsal will take place at 9:00 AM in the large gym on Thursday, June 16, 2016.  Everyone wishing to participate in the graduation ceremony must attend the rehearsal.  The rehearsal will last approximately 1 hour.  Caps, gowns and tickets will be distributed after the rehearsal.
 
Cap and Gown

You must have a cap and gown in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.  The cap and gown cost is included in your Senior Class dues.

Graduation
Graduation is on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 8pm at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC.  Graduates will report to Wakefield at 6:00 PM for lining up and then taking the bus to Constitution Hall.  Your family and friends will need to go directly to Constitution Hall.  Doors open at 7:00 PM, and it is open seating.
 
Graduation Tickets
All graduates will be given 10 tickets for the graduation ceremony.  Tickets will be distributed after graduation rehearsal on June 16, 2016.  
Graduation Pictures
Photographers from Lifetouch will be providing photographic coverage of the commencement program. Lifetouch will have portraits available online at events.lifetouch.com approximately one week after the ceremony.
