SWANSON STUDENTS HELP SET WORLD RECORD!

On November 17, 2011 Swanson took part in the Stack Up 2011 event through the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) and became part of the world cup stacking record for the most people cup stacking on the same day. Our students participated during their lunch time and 143 students took part in the making of the world record. The record was just over 318,000 and now stands at 411,391 people stacking in one day. This record was accumulation of people all around the world and Swanson is now a small part of that record. Great job Swanson!

LATINO YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2011

 

These 8th grade students represented Swanson Middle School very professionally at the Latino Youth Leadership Conference. Their names from left to right are: At the front, Guery Ulunque, Lorena Desenne, Sohani Orellana-Montiel, Elsy argueta and William Perez. In the back, Fafi Sejas, Marco Perez, Maycol Nuñez, Henry Reyes and Diego Orantes. We are very proud of them.
