Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Throughout the month of May, APS will celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. During this month-long celebration, APS will highlight Asian American and Pacific Islander history, their experience, and Asian American and Pacific Islander APS students and staff. By celebrating this heritage month, it also raises awareness of the current climate of anti-Asian hate. Due to recent events and attacks on those of Asian and Pacific Island descent, it is now more important than ever that we show the Asian American and Pacific Islander community we stand in solidarity with them and support them during this tumultuous time for their community. One way we can do this is by celebrating them and learning more about their culture. While there are many aspects of the diverse Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and experience, some of their cultures will be highlighted during this month and shared with the APS community.

Get ready for an exciting experience as APS journeys through history to explore Asian American and Pacific Islander culture.
