Substitute Teacher and Substitute Assistant

Please read the application instructions carefully and submit all required documentation to be considered for a position as a substitute:

  1. Copy of Official/Unofficial College Transcripts (for consideration as a Substitute Teacher)       or Copy of High School Diploma/GED (for consideration as a Substitute Assistant) If an individual has obtained a diploma or college/university degree outside of the United States of America, an evaluation must be completed by one of the agencies listed at:   
  2. Two Letters of Recommendation/Reference (signed and dated within the last twelve months, one letter should be from someone who recently supervised your work)

Substitute: Major Services Provided

To provide essential support to instructional programs and administrative staff to achieve Strategic Plan goals, the Substitute office will:

  • Provide instructional support to ensure adequate coverage within the schools when teachers and assistants are absent due to personal, sick, and professional development leave.
  • Increase the roster of eligible highly qualified substitutes.
