9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Wakefield High School
1325 S. Dinwiddie St.
Arlington, VA 22206

Superintendent Dr. Patrick Murphy and Arlington Public Schools invite all middle and high school students, and their families, to our annual event that celebrates career readiness. Registration is required to attend this event and APS will provide a FREE lunch from Chipotle that includes vegetarian options.

Middle and high school students will build skills in communication, citizenship (helping within their community), critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity as a part of the Profile of a Virginia Graduate. These skills help students obtain and succeed in internships and externships, interviews and jobs, and other career-related activities. During the event, there will also be three parent enrichment sessions focused on post-secondary preparation and planning.

The featured event activities include the following:

  • An escape room;
  • Group collaboration activity to solve entertaining problems; and
  • The opportunity to define individual strengths in communication, citizenship, and creativity.

There will also be a raffle at the end of the event for the chance to win one of many great prizes!
