Instruction 2 Industry: February 2024 Events

In February 2024 during Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, school divisions across the region are teaming up again with Virginia Ed Strategies to host the annual Instruction 2 Industry Career Expo event.

This Northern Virginia regional event will provide high school students with opportunities to connect virtually and in person with more than 100 local industry professionals from in-demand career fields. The purpose of this FREE career exploration event is to provide students with an opportunity to prepare for tomorrow’s workforce today.

There are three different types of sessions students can participate in based on their interests in one or more career fields and they include:

  • Industry Panel Discussions include a variety of recognized professionals on a panel to answer questions and share valuable information for employment in specific career pathways.
  • Information Sessions provide insight into specific companies or work-based learning opportunities.
  • Career Planning Support sessions provide advice topics which may include writing effective resumes and cover letters appropriate for specific career pathways.

Virtual Career Panel Discussions

Dates: February 5-8, 2024

Times: 4-7 p.m.

Location: Online.  All virtual sessions will be presented live. Recordings will be posted for viewing later.

In-Person Career Day

Dates: Saturday, February 17, 2024

Times: 1-4 p.m.

Location: Dulles Expo Center (North Hall)
