The International Baccalaureate Organization is a nonprofit educational foundation, motivated by its mission, focused on the student. The International Baccalaurate program encourages students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens. Arlington Public Schools offers the program at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Jefferson Middle School
The Middle Years Programme provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills for students ages 11-16. The MYP provides a thorough study of various disciplines. It also accentuates the interrelatedness of them, acknowledging the role of the subject disciplines and transdisciplinary study. The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.
