Dr. Mackin will continue to serve as principal through the end of the school year and will work with the administrative team and staff to ensure a smooth transition. We are grateful for Dr. Mackin’s service and are committed to identifying a highly qualified principal to serve the Carlin Springs community.
Applications and Community Survey: The principal position was posted March 16, and will be open until filled.
We value your input in this process. Please take the community survey to provide your input about the school and the next principal. The survey will be open through March 31.
Interview Process and Appointment: A screening committee will review the applicants and interview qualified applicants. This team determines candidates to proceed in the process. There will be multiple panels involved in the interview process, consisting of central office and school-based staff, as well as families and community members. The panel selection process will begin the week of March 20. We expect the interviews to take place in late April, with the appointment to be announced in May.

Arlington Community High School
Dr. Thompson will serve as principal through the end of March and will work with her administrative team and staff to ensure a smooth transition. We thank Dr. Thompson for her leadership and commitment to the school and ACHS students and staff during her tenure.
To ensure continuity and maintain strong leadership, current assistant principal, Cindy Schall, will step in to serve as interim principal through the remainder of the school year. Lara Macdonald, currently an ACHS teacher, will serve as interim assistant principal.
