The Your Voice Matters @ APS survey, which is conducted jointly by APS and the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families (APCYF), provides insights on topics that include safety (school and community climate), health and well-being, voice, and engagement. The insights from the survey are used to inform work across both the school division and the County and to provide APS with new benchmarks for measuring progress. The survey is conducted once every other school year.

Tips and suggestions when reviewing YVM results on the dashboard:
- Due to changes made throughout the 2024 YVM survey to align with APS priorities, trend data from the 2022 YVM may not be available for these new or revised questions and categories as illustrated below. Be sure to explore each category for these new or revised questions that may impact the comparability of the data.
- Be mindful of the sample size for each question, particularly for follow-up questions that depend on how an individual responded to a previous question. To access the detailed results, click on the question to expand it. The first bar graph called “answer distribution” will display how many respondents chose each response option.
- To gain a deeper understanding of how different demographic groups answered each question, users can click on the question to view the breakdown of responses by group.
