Who are the Bilingual Family Specialists?

A Bilingual Family Specialist (BFS) plays a unique role as a bridge between the school and families. They ensure that all families, regardless of their primary language, feel welcomed and supported in the school environment. Bilingual Family Specialists support families by explaining school practices, policies, and procedures and providing information about available resources, services, and programs within the school and the community. Bilingual Family Specialists are in many of our schools, and they speak our top languages, including English, Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, and Mongolian.
