2013-14 Updates (Archive)
Posted by Lionel White at 6/17/2014The School Board adopted its FY 2015 – FY 2024 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) last night at the June 16, 2014 School Board meeting. The 10-year CIP includes funding that focuses on the areas of most critical need including elementary seats in the southern part of the County, middle school seats in the northern part of the County, high school seats later in the 10-year planning horizon, and continued investment in maintenance of APS facilities. The School Board’s CIP is the outcome of a year-long process that engaged the community and worked with staff on evaluating many options before making decisions on critical issues. During this process the School Board obtained substantial feedback from the community, provided direction to staff, adopted evaluation criteria and applied them to the various capital options that were developed to create capacity in response to projected enrollment growth.Documents:
