Summary of our functions/tasks in APS: The Office of Assessment coordinates the system wide assessment calendar and serves as the point of contact between the school division and the VDOE. Assessment works closely with School Test Coordinators (STCs) who serve as the point of contact between the Office and the schools. The STC is responsible for ensuring that all procedures required for the SOL tests are implemented within the school and for maintaining the security of test materials. Assessment also coordinates district-wide administration of the NNAT3, CogAT, and WIDA ACCESS assessments.  In addition, Assessment supports the administration of W!SE, WorkKeys, PSAT, SAT, AP and IB exams in the high school.
