Psychological Services

Psychological services are available in all schools to promote the mental health and educational interests of students. Psychologists are assigned to schools to serve students in both special education and general education programs.

Psychologists provide a range of services to support student well-being and success. They can provide consultation to staff and parents when there are questions or concerns about academic or social-emotional competencies, behavior, or development. Psychologists are a part of the multi-disciplinary team at each school and assist with developing intervention plans to help students succeed. Parents and staff are encouraged to contact the psychologist at their child’s school whenever concerns arise. Collaborative early intervention can be effective in addressing many concerns.

Inquiries about psychological services may be directed to the school psychologist in the local school or to
