APS Community Helps Support Victims of Recent Hurricanes

We’ve all seen the devastation caused by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Students and staff across APS have risen up to collect funds, school supplies and more to donate to victims of these devastating storms. Here are just a few of the ways our community contributed.

The New Department of Teaching and Learning

Earlier this summer, the Departments of Instruction and Student Services and Special Education consolidated into a unified department. On Friday, staff unveiled its new name, the Department of Teaching and Learning.

Resetting of Middle School Boundaries Underway

A sixth neighborhood middle school is opening at the Stratford site in Fall 2019. A community engagement process is taking place this fall to reset all middle school boundaries. The new boundaries will go into effect for the 2019-20 school year.
