All students must demonstrate college readiness in order to take a Dual Enrollment Course. Students may meet this requirement though qualifying PSAT, SAT, ACT, SOL or AP results.
Students will be required to take the Virginia Placement Test (English and/or Math) if they do not meet the exemptions.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the FREE online practice tests.

In order to take a placement test students must first follow Step-by-Step Guidelines for Students Wishing to Dual Enroll and APPLY TO NOVA.
DE Intent Form must be completed and turned in counselor in order to enroll in the course.
If you need academic accommodations for a placement test at NOVA, please discuss with your counselor and/or transition coordinator at your school. Also visit NOVA’s Disabilities Services website and follow the instructions for requesting accommodations prior to taking your placement test. Please note, it may take up to three weeks or longer to respond to some accommodation requests during peak registration times.
