Fifty Years of Service to Arlington Students and the Greater Community.
The Planetarium resumes weekend public programs beginning Friday September 6th and continues through Sunday Nov 24th.
The David M. Brown Planetarium will temporarily close Wednesday, November 27th, 2019 for approximately 18 months while the adjacent building is renovated to provide additional classroom space for Arlington Public Schools.

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE ONLY OPEN TO SCHOOL GROUPS IN THE DAYTIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR WORK WEEK.
The Friends provide programming that may include full dome programs and fascinating lectures from the field of Astronomy and other scientific fields designed to broaden our appeal to the planetarium-going public. These programs are held the 3rd weekend of the month during the school year and presented in lieu of the regular program schedule.

In the event of bad weather, when school activities are canceled, the Planetarium will also be closed (call 703-228-4277). However, if the swimming pools are open, public planetarium shows will proceed as scheduled.
