#DigitalAPS Highlights Flipped Instruction at Ashlawn
Arlington Public Schools has launched a new video series called #digitalAPS – Exploring Instructional Frontiers. #digitalAPS is a new monthly program that highlights personalized digital learning initiatives in the classroom.
The first episode features Ashlawn Elementary School instrumental music teacher Kristin Gomez and her flipped instructional model. Gomez designs her instruction to introduce new material to students for their homework assignments. As a result, when students attend class, they are in a better position to be challenged because they have already had the opportunity to learn the new content.
