Career Center AFJROTC Earns Top Honors

Career Center AFJROTC Earns Top Honors Today, Air Force Junior ROTC Commander Colonel Bobby Woods announced that the Arlington Career Center’s VA-821 unit earned the Distinguished Unit with Merit award. VA-821 was one of the three Air Force Junior ROTC units in Virginia to receive this recognition this year. Col Woods wrote, “…these units truly represent the best of our 889 AFJROTC and NDCC units worldwide. The cadets, instructors, and schools are to be commended for earning their award.” VA-821 is led by instructors Col. Scott Dierlam (retired) and Senior Master Sergeant Jesse Perez (retired). Col. Dierlam added, “This award is a result of a lot of hard work by our cadets and the great program support provided by the Arlington Career Center and Arlington Public School’s leadership. We’re part of a great team at the Career Center.”
