
APS is proud to recognize the February 2025 APS All Stars! These outstanding staff members exemplify collaboration, equity, inclusivity, integrity, innovation and stewardship in their roles. Their dedication to students and colleagues makes a lasting impact in our schools and community.
Megan Zelasko – Campbell Elementary School
Ms. Zelasko’s love for her students is evident in everything she does. Originally from Buffalo, she moved to Arlington specifically to teach at APS and we are lucky to have her! She loops between second and third grades ensuring deep connections with students to support their academic and personal growth. A National Board Certified Teacher, she also co-facilitates National Board candidate support, mentors pre-service teachers and even runs an after-school sign language club. Beyond the classroom, she has pursued professional learning across the globe including a transformative experience in the Peruvian Amazon. Her passion for education and her students is truly remarkable.
Karina Fasullo – Randolph Elementary School
Ms. Fasullo is a dedicated EL educator managing a caseload of 40 third-grade English learners, 20 of whom are Level 1. She meticulously schedules her time to provide critical services ensuring each student receives the support they need. As a co-teacher, she fosters a collaborative environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and learn from mistakes. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, Randolph’s EL Co-lead teacher and an advocate for family and community engagement. Her work exemplifies perseverance, creativity and a commitment to student success.
Aja Campbell – Tuckahoe Elementary School
Ms. Campbell meets her students where they are ensuring they have the tools and support needed to thrive. She fosters a classroom environment where students feel safe and valued, making a lasting impact on their academic and personal growth. Beyond her role as a teacher, she is a supportive colleague whose humor and leadership brighten the days of fellow staff. Tuckahoe is a better place because of her dedication and passion for education.
Dara Williams – Washington-Liberty High School
As the new Director of Counseling at Washington-Liberty, Ms. Williams has already made a tremendous impact. She leads with compassion, fairness and integrity, creating a collaborative and high-expectations-driven environment. Her innovative approach to problem-solving and unwavering commitment to student well-being set her apart. Ms. Williams’ leadership is inspiring and her influence is felt throughout APS.
Dr. Michelle Marrero – Syphax Education Center
Dr. Marrero has been a lifelong advocate for English learners and her innovative work in the Office of English Learners is shaping the future for APS students. She has led the transition of the ‘Pathway to Graduation’ for ELs, collaborating across departments to ensure equitable access to academic success. Her ability to turn feedback into action, combined with her deep passion for student achievement, makes her a true APS All-Star.
