This week’s Crosswalks video provides a look inside an eighth-grade World Geography class at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and highlights Social Studies in APS. The Social Studies Office is focused on supporting inquiry-based practices, equity and inclusion, and performance assessments for all students. Thank you to TJMS teachers Rachel Payne and Brittany Wiltrout, and Kerri Hirsch, Supervisor of Social Studies, for highlighting your work with students.
APS looks forward to a season of celebration as students gather for year-end events. View the schedule for high school graduations and middle school promotion ceremonies. For those who cannot attend high school graduations in person, live streaming links will be available. APS asks families of teens reaching these milestones to help ensure celebrations are safe for all. View tips for safe, alcohol-free celebrations. We encourage students and their families to share graduation stories using #APSGrad22 across social media.
