APS celebrated the future of education on Friday, May 8 as seven APS students officially signed agreements committing to return and serve the division as educators and support staff following graduation and continued training.
The signing ceremony recognized students from the Teachers for Tomorrow and Early Childhood Programs who have chosen to continue their educational journeys with APS, helping strengthen the next generation of educators within the Arlington community.
The event highlighted APS’ continued investment in developing future educators through hands-on learning experiences, mentorship opportunities and career pathways that help students transition from the classroom to careers in education. In total, 18 students who have participated in the program are currently attending four-year universities while remaining connected to APS as they work toward returning to the division as future educators.
Surrounded by family members, teachers, school staff and division leaders, students celebrated the milestone as the beginning of a future dedicated to supporting, inspiring and empowering Arlington students for years to come.
