Green Scene Green Scene Showcases Weather Houses Built by ATS Students This week’s episode of Green Scene features student-built weather houses. Fourth grade students at Arlington Traditional School engineered weather houses out of recycled materials for their STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) project.
Their creations were put to the test to assess how they would withstand severe weather situations, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and thunderstorms. Included were strong winds (leaf blower), a hail storm (ice cubes), and torrential rain (spray nozzle). Students determined how they should have designed their houses differently after witnessing the impact of the elements
