Join Us to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week

Join Us to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week To all of our “teachers” who support, encourage and foster learning for the children in Arlington Public Schools – thank you! In his message to all APS teachers this morning, Superintendent Dr. Pat Murphy said, “We all play a role with the teaching and learning process and I appreciate that because it creates a cohesive and connected community for learning and success reflected in the philosophy of the Whole Child. In my visits to schools this year, it has been gratifying to see our teachers in action and the many innovative and creative approaches that each teacher brings to their classroom. It just validates that the caliber of teachers we have here at APS creates the difference for each child. Thank you for all you do!” As school divisions across the state celebrate “Teacher Appreciation Week,” join us in showing your appreciation to our wonderful instructional team at APS. Share your appreciation through social media, a note of thanks or even just stopping a teacher in the hallway. It is the little things that count. Go , Twitter or Instagram to post a thank you note or a photo of your favorite teacher using the hashtags #ThankaTeacher and #LoveAPS. In addition, the APS website will feature a photo gallery that showcases all of Arlington’s school-based Teachers of the Year along with Dahlia Constantine, the 2015 Arlington Teacher of the Year. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
