Christina Quinn
Cardinal Elementary School
Christina Quinn is a compassionate and student-centered counselor who always puts student needs first. When she learned a student was experiencing significant anxiety about an upcoming all-day field trip, Ms. Quinn stepped in without hesitation. She adjusted her own schedule and volunteered to attend the trip to provide the emotional support the student needed. Her actions helped ensure the student could participate successfully and feel safe throughout the experience. Ms. Quinn’s empathy, responsiveness and commitment to students and families reflect the very best of APS. Her dedication makes a lasting difference in the Cardinal community.

Pete Balas has made an immediate and meaningful impact at Wakefield through his leadership, positivity and connection with others. He brings a warm, approachable presence while maintaining high expectations for both students and staff. Mr. Balas has built strong relationships across the school community, creating an environment rooted in trust, respect and shared purpose. Brittany Dennis is a dependable and detail-oriented professional who keeps her school running smoothly behind the scenes. As treasurer, she ensures financial processes are accurate, organized and efficient, allowing staff to focus on supporting students. She is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to help colleagues navigate questions or challenges. Ms. Dennis brings a positive, approachable attitude to every interaction and consistently goes above and beyond in her role. Her reliability and professionalism make her an invaluable member of the Jefferson community.
Sean McGee
Montessori Public School of Arlington
Sean McGee brings energy, joy and a unique ability to connect with students in every setting. As a physical education teacher, he creates inclusive and engaging experiences that keep students excited about movement and teamwork. He is also a familiar and welcoming presence during arrival and dismissal, helping ensure smooth transitions while greeting students and families with warmth and care. His ability to manage busy, high-energy environments with calm and positivity sets the tone for the entire school. Mr. McGee’s enthusiasm and dedication make a lasting impact on the Montessori community.
