Happy 2023-24! The team at the Parent Resource Center is delighted to welcome our community Back to School. We hope your children had a fabulous first day, and we look forward to collaborating with you during the upcoming school year. For those of you new to Arlington Public Schools and/or the Parent Resource Center, a very warm welcome.
The Parent Resource Center is a resource and information center for all families, staff and community members. Although we primarily support parents/caregivers of students with disabilities and unique learning needs as they work with the school system to identify and meet their child’s needs, all families are welcome to access our supports, resources and services. We offer:
- Information and connections to community resources
- Parent learning opportunities and events
- Online learning modules and recordings of previous sessions
- A Family Resource and Information Guide designed to provide step by step support in navigating the special education process, collaborating with school staff, and accessing community resources
- Individual consultation with families – schedule a consultation now online, or call us at 703-228-7239 to schedule an appointment.
- A lending library containing books, DVDs and audiobooks
- La Sopa de la Abuela, a Spanish language special education telenovela (with English subtitles)
- Weekly e-news for families
