Appointments
The Board appointed Kerri Hirsch as Director of Curriculum & Instruction, effective Sept. 23. Hirsch is a National Board-Certified educator with over 22 years of experience. Hirsch worked for 10 years as a social studies teacher at the middle and high school levels before coming to Arlington Public Schools in 2010 as a teacher specialist in the Professional Learning Office. For the past four years, she has been the Supervisor of Social Studies K-12. Hirsch holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Long Island University, a master’s degree in Special Education from Dowling College, and a Graduate Certificate in School Administration and Supervision from The Johns Hopkins University.

Next School Board Meeting
The School Board will hold its next regular meeting (2110 Washington Blvd.) on Thu, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. The agenda will be posted one week before the meeting on BoardDocs.
