Dear APS Families,

I have a few updates for this week and reminders for the month ahead:

  • The 2023-24 School Year Calendar Survey is Now Open – APS is gathering student, family, staff and community feedback on 2023-24 school year calendar options. The survey is open through Nov. 8. Your feedback will be used to inform the recommendation that will be voted on by the School Board on Dec. 15.  Learn more and complete the survey.
  • Join Us Tonight, Wed, Oct. 26 for “Help with AOVP”—The Annual Online Verification Process (AOVP) closes on Oct. 31, and we need all families to complete the process. APS will host our second in-person AOVP Family Support Night at the Arlington Mill Community Center tonight to provide hands-on assistance helping families log into ParentVUE. Bring your kids and enjoy pizza while completing the process! View details.
  • November Calendar Reminders:
    • Mon, Nov. 7: End of 1st Quarter
    • Tue, Nov. 8: No School for Students (Grade Preparation Day)
    • Fri, Nov. 11: Holiday – Veterans Day
    • Wed-Fri, Nov 23-25 – Thanksgiving Break

Thank you for your partnership!

Sincerely,

Dr. Francisco Durán
