
Wakefield Senior Wins Girls State Wrestling Championship

Wakefield senior Cameron Millsapps (pictured far left) won the VHSL Girls State Championship, becoming the school’s first-ever girls state champion.
Cameron, a second-year wrestler competing at 152 lbs, dominated the Girls State Tournament, winning all her matches by pinning all three of her opponents. She ended the season with a perfect 28-0 record.
This is the third season of the Wakefield girls’ wrestling program.

The Arlington School Board’s May schedule of Board Meetings, Work Sessions, and Advisory Council and Committee Meetings is now available.
Twenty-two APS students are participating this weekend in the All-Virginia Orchestra, All-Virginia Symphonic Band, All-Virginia Concert Band, and All-Virginia Chorus ensembles in Richmond.
The VDOE announced that 35 APS students have been invited to participate in the Summer Residential Governor's School for Academics, Mentorship, Visual and Performing Arts, and World Language Academies.
