APS will continue to use Microsoft Teams for videoconferencing. The Microsoft Teams platform has remained stable despite unprecedented usage growth, and student information is securely protected. It also integrates with other APS tools/platforms like email, file-sharing and intranet.
Microsoft has listened to the education market. They have rolled out several educational-focused enhancements and have more in the works. In the past few months, they’ve added the “hand raised” feature, the ability for the organizer to take attendance, and an expanded display grid. Microsoft has also added backgrounds and improved noise canceling. This fall they will also add “breakout rooms” to allow small-group work.
