APS SRTS HEADS UP! PSA 2018 CONTEST BACKGROUND

HEADS UP!

2018 CONTEST PROMPT

When traveling to and from school each day—whether on foot or by bike; by school bus or public transit; by car or carpool—staying safe means staying alert. No matter what your grade or mode of transportation, staying alert means keeping HEADS UP!, paying attention and looking out for yourself and others.

As students, you’re the experts on getting to and from school. Using your experience and the theme “HEADS UP!” as your message, APS SRTS challenges you to create a VIDEO or PRINT PSA that reminds students to stay alert—and safe—while traveling to and from school.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2018 at 5:00 PM.

Getting Started

What’s a PSA?  A public service announcement (PSA), or public service ad, is a message in the public interest with the objective of raising awareness about and/or changing public attitudes and behavior towards an issue or concern.
