Other Summer Options

Other summer opportunities for students are available in Arlington and the region. View the virtual Summer Activities Fair 2022 on Feb. 16 to see all the options. Here are some of those options:

  • Arlington Career Center Enrichment Courses
    • View the Course Catalog
    • Dates: July 25 – August 5, 2022
    • Registration Opens: April 18, 2022
    • First come, first registered–Space is limited
    • Course offerings range from rising 3rd grade to rising 12th grade
  • YEP (APS Youth Enrichment Program) provides STEM-focused enrichment opportunities for elementary, middle and high school students in courses such as computer programming, music, art, digital design, foreign languages and culture.
  • Virtual Virginia offers New Work for Credit and additional Credit Recovery classes with a fee (all virtual). Please contact your school counselor for registration information.
  • Outdoor Lab Summer Camp provides students with the opportunity to explore the natural world at their own pace, with a blend of traditional camp activities (hiking, evening campfires, crafts, skits, etc.), nature exploration and sensory awareness. The Outdoor Lab is an approximately 200-acre outdoor education facility about an hour west of Arlington, owned by the  Arlington Outdoor Education Association and used by Arlington Public Schools to run education programs for students.
