APS is upgrading to a new bus tracking system that will provide families with more reliable, real-time information about their student’s bus. The new system, Stopfinder, offers improved technology designed to provide more accurate location updates, better communication and an improved user experience. To ensure a successful rollout, APS will introduce the system in phases. A division wide bus tracking app will not be available at the start of the school year. Instead, APS will begin with a pilot program at three schools before expanding access across the division. Transportation services are not changing during this transition. Bus routes, bus stop locations, eligibility information and transportation schedules will continue as usual. Transportation information will continue to be available through ParentVUE and existing transportation communications. Families participating in the pilot will receive separate communications with registration instructions and next steps. Families at all other schools will receive information before the app becomes available to them.

Pilot schools are subject to change as implementation continues.
