Credit by Exam

Students in grades 7-12 who have proficiency in another language have the opportunity to take a proficiency exam and potentially earn up to four world language credits in nearly 100 languages.  It is important to note that credits cannot be duplicated on a transcript, nor can a proficiency test replace a previously earned grade taken in high school.  Registration will be completed by students and their parents via this Google Form.  Please see the CBE Brochure English 2018-19 and/or the FAQ section for more information.  Below you will find brochures in other languages.

Registration for the 2018-19 school year is open and will close on October 5th, 2018 at 11:55 p.m. Testing for most languages is scheduled the morning of November 6, 2018 at Wakefield High School.  Check-in will be at 8:30 with testing beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Testing lasts anywhere between 80 minutes to three hours.  Some languages such as Mongolian, Hebrew, and Farsi require a different test and students will be contacted directly with time and date.
